About us

Incresed fees 1 March 2025 at our AGM in December 2024 it was agreed to increase the attendance fee to cover the increased cost in room hire and insurance. The members fee will increase to £12 (£6 per half day) and visitors to £22 (£11 per half day).

Recorders at Plymouth is an independent group of recorder players based in Plymouth who meet in the lounge at St Pancras Church Honicknowle Lane PL2 3QX. Generally on the first Saturday of the month. We are a friendly group, fostering a relaxed and supportive atmosphere to allow everyone to get the most they can out of playing the recorder. Both our resident conductors and the visiting conductors are all professional musicians. We play all sizes of recorder from sopranino to contra bass. We are not able to accomodate beginers or descant only players. Some of the music we play doesn't have a descant part and we only have one or two people playing each descant part. Players are encouraged to move around to other sections so that everyone gets the chance to play the smaller instruments.

Membership is £36 per year plus £10 full day (£5 half day) meeting fee.

Visitors £20 full day (£10 half day).
